The looong-awaited HK-China trip (Travel Journal Page 1)

Day 1
Sisters are excited as it is their first time on a plane... Food and selection of movies was great!
After checking into Chung Heng Hotel(a 3-star hotel which is probably worse than Hotel 81 in Singapore but is chosen by the tour agency for its primed location-in the midst of good shopping places in Hongkong) and a quick shower, we wasted no time in beginning our shopping spree in the night markets of HK-the shops and stalls opened till past 12 midnight. Ended the night with late supper of Macs in front of a Cantonese channel. Can you believe they actually serve Sausage McMuffin with Egg on their Lunch/Dinner menu?? I was so happy!! It even tastes exactly the same!! But the fries in Singapore taste better.

i'm feeling teenagy again!!
I just discovered something new and fantastic on Blogger by accident.. I can upload my photos directly without having to use Photobucket as a middleman!! Yes!! That will save me plenty of time.
I am really sorry for the absence.. I said I would be more active here but have been lazing around really. Anyway I have finally collaged my HK-Shenzhen-Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macau trip from 2-6 June finally and I think I will post them in segments, as there are quite alot I want to share with yall.
But first, see what I have been crazy with lately ever since coming back from the trip.
I have become a potato couch lost in the surreal world of TV.. more specifically.. Taiwanese dramas!!! AHHHH.. and I fell in love with the character of Kui acted by Joe Cheng Yuan Chang in "Qiang Wei Zhi Lian aka The Rose". Ok to provide a debrief on this show for those who dunno it, it was actually a highly-popular show back in 2002 or 2003, I can't remember. And I only got interested in watching it recently. Actually it's all my sister's fault la.. My sisters have been really absorbed in him in another show (will elaborate later), and she borrowed "Qiang Wei Zhi Lian" from her fren. It was his virgin product. and omg, did he act well... in fact so far, among the 3 serials i have watched him act in, I have to say, he did his best in this. The show that got my sisters hooked on him is a more recent one called "It Started with a Kiss", which is also very highly popular in Taiwan, but i personally feel he was best as Kui. He IS Kui. Ok, i'm sooo gonna get the show when i'm not so broke and i'll be happy to lend it to anyone who wished to see it.
A little more the show.. actually the reason why i liked it was the themes in the serial.. family-oriented and a ugly duckling story. Aiya shall not say more. Yall MUST watch!!!
A little more on Joe Cheng Yuan Chang. He is cute-manga-character personified, maybe that was why he is always asked to act in this range of shows. Ok, he is really quite ethereally-beautiful in his pictures (maybe got to do with the fact that he is of a model-background and makeup). And I am having this HUGE teenagy crush on him right now thanks to his character of Kui. I mean, even if it is a show, just imagine this guy looking at the ugly duckling and saying "You have become more beautiful since the first day I saw you", "Please make full use of me however you want. I exist for you", i repeat, even if it is just a show, and on top of the fact that he was a metrosexual and bisexual in the show, it still just got me melting alright? Ok if I am melting over the surreal world of TV and over a TV character, i think there's something seriously wrong. I sound like i am back to p sch again, having a crush on a TV character.. urgh. Please date me out, people, before I finally go mad with my running-wild thoughts. It is just a little worse than usual cos presently, I am alone these few days (my cousin went to M'sia) and I still can't get a job. I'm currently on another show of him besides "Jewel in the Palace", which I am watching concurrently. it is called "Magic Ring" but he dint do as well in it as "Qiang Wei Zhi Lian", so really quite disappointed with the buy.

Besides being lost in the world of Taiwanese dramas, I have met up with a few people.

The SC gals!!! so happy although we only got together for about 2 hours-just enough for a quick dinner and catching up. And it was especially hard just getting them tger on a common date. haha.. gals, hope we can do it again sometime ya!! but yall do the arranging next time hahahah.. Ok.. My 3 dear friends have gone or are preparing to go into the working world liao. Only left me in school. I feel young!! hahah..
The other I have been meeting more frequently of late is flo dear. There we are on a day of enjoyment again hahaha.. We both got fantastic new big necklaces from Isetan. Both of us are quite into the big-necklace thing lately. And then had Crystal Jade dim-sum and Coffee-Club. My fave baked bolo spaghetti!!! Just hanging out with flo is relaxing.. just have much to talk about... thanks flo dear for being my pillar of support of late for so many stuff, your faith in me and all those encouraging things you just knew how to say is really more than a balm for my inferiority complex. Slowly I am learning to cast it aside bit by bit. thanks for your belief in me!!!
